St Johnstone v Aberdeen
🏆
Scottish Premiership
In the first selection of this weekend’s Scottish acca we go to Perth as Aberdeen take on St Johnstone.
Aberdeen haven’t been at their best this season but nowhere near as bad as St Johnstone who seem to have suffered a bit since losing their captain, Jason Kerr, on Deadline Day.
The Saints sit second bottom in the Premiership with just one win in their last seven games. They have also lost their last two matches.
Aberdeen, on the other hand, have picked up their form recently. After a run of three defeats in a row during November they bounced back with two wins in a row in December, beating both St Mirren and Livingston at home, scoring six goals and only conceding one.
Despite having one of the best defensive records in the league, St Johnstone have only kept one clean sheet at home this season, against 8th place St Mirren last month.
St Johnstone will be without Cammy McPherson and Glen Middleton tomorrow while Aberdeen look to be full strength.
As the fourth highest scoring team in the Scottish Prem, I fancy Aberdeen to bag at least one goal to win this selection at a decent price of 1.40.

Prediction: Aberdeen to Score 1+ Goals
Ross County v Dundee
🏆
Scottish Premiership
Staying in the Prem for this one, let’s see if Dundee can get some revenge on County after the 5-0 thumping in the reverse fixture back in October.
I think there’s a lot of value in this one for goals. Ross County average the 2nd most in the league with 3.07 goals per game, Dundee average the 4th most with 2.81 goals per game.
At home, Ross County have scored 10 and conceded 13 in seven matches, that’s an average of 3.29 goals per game at home.
The 5-0 defeat at home to County might have been the turning point in Dundee’s season. Since that match they’ve won three out of five including a 3-0 win against 5th place Motherwell.
Situationally this is a huge fixture for both sides but more so the home side. Ross County are rock bottom and already three points adrift from the relegation play-off and five points from complete safety, Dundee currently occupy that spot in 10th place.
Ross County have scored in six of their last seven league matches, including two away at Ibrox. Dundee have scored in five of their last seven league matches, including two at home to Celtic.
This could go either way but I expect goals. I was tempted with BTTS at 1.90 but I’m playing it safe with over 1.5 goals at a generous 1.36.

Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Alloa v Clyde
🏆
Scottish League One
Over to League One for what should be a very high scoring affair in Alloa.
Alloa average 3.19 goals per game, Clyde average 3.25 goals per game. Incredibly, Alloa’s last five home league matches have averaged four goals per game!
Here’s a stat, both Alloa and Clyde have only managed to keep two clean sheets each in the league this season from 16 matches.
Aside from the stats, it’s actually a very important match for both sides. Alloa are in 6th place but only three points ahead of Clyde who are in 9th, the relegation play-off spot.
Alloa’s top scorer Euan Henderson is fit and available, as is Clyde’s top scorer David Goodwillie. Expect goals and lots of them in this fixture.

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Forfar v Stirling Albion
🏆
Scottish League Two
Forfar remain one of the only teams in Scotland still unbeaten at home this season. The ‘Loons’ are in action this weekend against Stirling Albion, who parted ways with manager Kevin Rutkewicz this week after an awful run of results.
Forfar are flying high in second spot with six wins and one defeat from their last seven, Stirling are in 4th, eight points behind Forfar, without a win since the 2nd of October.
At home, Forfar have won five, drawn two and scored 15 in seven matches. Stirling have won only three matches out of eight on the road.
Stirling are managerless and coming off the back of an embarrassing 1-0 defeat away to bottom place Cowdenbeath last week. Forfar are sitting comfortably in 2nd, unbeaten at home and have scored an average 2.17 goals in their last six league matches.
I think Forfar will edge this one but I’m playing it safe with draw no bet.

Prediction: Forfar Draw No Bet
Kelty Hearts v Albion Rovers
🏆
Scottish League Two
League Two leaders Kelty Hearts take on a pretty poor Albion Rovers side as they look to increase their lead at the top of the table.
Kelty are currently the only remaining senior side in the UK unbeaten, they have been a formidable side since gaining promotion into League Two last season, already seven points ahead of 2nd place with a game in hand.
Albion Rovers have had mixed form of late, they’ve won two, lost two and drawn one from their last five. However, on the road, they’ve picked up only one win and one draw from their last eight matches.
Kelty were on Scottish Cup duty last week, they beat League One side Montrose on penalties to book their place in the fourth round. That result really shows how far Kelty have come and the level they’re currently at, Montrose are currently challenging for the title in League One.
This should be a comfortable win for the league leaders and league top scorers. Kelty won 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September, I expect something similar this time round.

Prediction: Kelty Hearts to Win
