Two unbeaten sides go head-to-head on Sunday in what should be a really good game. Forest surprised the footballing world last weekend when they won at Anfield, beating Liverpool 1-0, whilst Brighton were held at home to newly promoted Ipswich.

I want to take a fouls bet in this game and I am interested in taking on Morgan Gibbs White to make at least two fouls. I think the game will be tight which means that the game state will result in Forest being in the game for the full 90 minutes. Gibbs White will drop just off striker Chris Wood and play just off him which means that he will get involved with the Brighton central midfield pair of Carols Baleba and Yasin Ayari. These two are big and strong and love to get on the ball which will drag Gibbs-White into the play as he looks to defend. Baleba has been fouled three times this season in the two games he has started. Ayari has played 90 minutes against Ipswich and was fouled four times and 74 minutes against Arsenal and was fouled once.

Last time out the Ipswich central pair of Morsy and Phillips collected three and two fouls and were both booked. The week before Partey of Arsenal was also carded and made two fouls, whilst Rice also made two fouls and was sent off. Against Man Utd, Mount registered one foul, Mainoo two fouls and again was carded, although Casemiro didn’t make a foul in his 90 minutes. In their opening game against Everton, Iroegbunam made two fouls and Gueye made one foul. There is a clear trend of central players when playing against Brighton picking up fouls. Brighton love to play through the press of the opposition and this often results in fouls for them.

Brighton is a tough place to go and I would expect the hosts to dominate the ball with Forest happy to dig in and sit deep and look to catch them on the counter which gives Gibbs White plenty of opportunities to attempt to win the ball and commit fouls. We can back this with Bet365 at 2.2 which implies a probably of 45.5%, whilst Skybet are offering the same bet at odds of 1.83 but Paddy Power are offering 2.4, which suggest a 41% chance, which given the small sample of this seasons games looks a good bet.
