His likely head-to-head with Gabriel Martinelli also favours this bet, the Brazilian has committed 0.89 fouls per 90 in the Premier League so far this season, and committed 1.51 per 90 in last season’s CL.

Arsenal are not only a winning team, they are a side that are increasingly likely to get the job done by doing the ugly things well – even if it means being on the wrong side of the law at times.

The Gunners have given up at least ten fouls in every single one of their games against a top-level opponent so far this season. Indeed, only once in their Premier League or Champions League matches this season have Mikel Arteta’s side given away fewer free kicks than their opponents.

PSG are a side that have drawn a lot of fouls this season. They are on a four-match streak of winning at least 11 each game, while the fewest they have won in any fixture this season has been nine.

Referee Slavko Vincic of Slovenia has shown himself to be rather whistle-happy in his previous matches this season.

Just as Arsenal post a significant foul count in matches, they also have a high number of cards received for the season and actually lead the Premier League on this count with 3.83 per match.

Barcola is PSG’s man in form after his performance against Rennes last Friday when he scored two goals from three shots on target and had six efforts during that clash in total.

Although he had failed to muster a shot on target in his previous three games, Barcola has been in hot form in front of goal so far this season and averages 1.9 shots on target per 90 this season in Ligue 1. Prior to his barren run, he had a shot on target in five successive games for club and country.

Barcola has had shots on target in six of his last nine outings in the Champions League going back to November last year.

Arsenal could find themselves short in the right back role, with Ben White rated doubtful for this game. Barcola could, therefore, be up against the Gunners’ backup option here.

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has made at least three saves in five of the six Premier League matches he has played this season, establishing himself as one of the leading shot-stoppers in the world in the process.

He conceded twice in three shots against Leicester City at the weekend but that is a blip compared to his overall performance level this season, which has seen him record an impressive save percentage of 83.9% for his club side since the beginning of August.

Arsenal are a huge price to pick up more cards than PSG in this game given their record of receiving bookings and red cards early in the season.
