Man United matches average exactly ten corners per game in the Premier League this season and their own average is a hefty 8.50. The style that United play often leads to corners with their offensive style to get crosses in early.

Porto average 6.57 corners domestically and both teams combined should contribute towards over 8.5 flag kicks in this game. There were 15 corners in Man United’s first Europa game vs Twente, whilst Porto’s opener away to Bodo/Glimt contained 11.

Here at home, taking the Brazilian just to fire one shot on target or more seems well within his reach. Galeno just scored at home to Arouca at the weekend so is in fine form approaching the contest.

Porto average the sixth most fouls in the Liga Portugal at 14.9 per game. This is significantly more than their big rivals Benfica and Sporting. Of the ‘big three’ they are probably the most cynical and physical team who will get stuck in.

One of their main protagonists is midfielder Nico Gonzalez who averages a crazy 2.90 fouls per 90 mins domestically. He’s already obtained three cards and racked up two fouls vs Bodo/Glimt last week.

Taking the Spaniard to match that here looks a good bet builder addition. Facing the Man United midfield including Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes only adds weight to his foul argument.

This is a big match for Bruno. He was in the limelight for the wrong reasons at the weekend after getting sent off vs Spurs. It was a harsh red but this is a player who has been facing plenty of criticism recently.

With Bruno being suspended at the weekend we can expect him to give everything in this contest. As a former Sporting player, he’s going to be really fired up against one of their big rivals. He will likely get a hostile reception from the crowd but that should only fire him up more.

He needs a performance and this could be a good time to strike in the ‘to score or assist’ market. He’s drawn a blank in his last three games but scored or assisted in his previous four before that. He can make a difference here so let’s get on Bruno whilst everyone is down on him.

Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui now averages the most fouls per 90 mins of any Man United player (1.70) in the Premier League.

This is quite an increase on last year when he was at Bayern where he averaged less than one foul per game. This highlights the problematic team he is currently in at Man United where there is a lot more pressure on certain players.

He’s going to be up against Galeno on the left wing who is the most fouled Porto player (2.10 per 90) so this looks like a difficult matchup. The odds on Mazraoui just to commit one foul or more look a great value addition to any bet builder.
