Friday’s Saudi Pro League Accumulator Tips
The Saudi Pro League comes back from the international break with a triple header of action on Friday afternoon. The first game sees two sides in the bottom half of the table meet as Al-Khaleej host Al-Ahli.
Al-Khaleej have established themselves in the top flight in Saudi football having got back to this level a couple of seasons ago, but their record against Al-Ahli throughout history isn’t the best with just one win in 12 meetings between the pair.
There is little to suggest that will change here. Al-Khaleej are really struggling for goals at the minute. In their opening six matches they have notched just three times and when you look at their squad there just isn’t a standout goalscorer.
That isn’t the case for the visitors who acquired the services of Ivan Toney in the previous transfer window to go into a squad which already had the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino.
Al-Ahli haven’t come out of the blocks brilliantly this season but you would think that with Toney having had an international break to acclimatise they are a side who have plenty of improvement in them. When the season is done these two are likely to be at opposite ends of the table and the visitors look capable of the win here.
The second match of the three on Friday night sees the champions Al-Hilal looking to extend their perfect record this term when they host lowly Al Feiha in a match which has all the makings of a mismatch.
After going through last season undefeated, Al-Hilal have opened up this campaign with six successive wins and the reigning champions are huge favourites to win this match. They are currently averaging three goals per game and face a side who have shipped 12 in their six outings, including four in one game and five in another.
Al-Hilal have scored at least three goals in all but one of their matches in the Saudi Pro League this season, with the one time they failed being against Al-Ahli who are one of the better teams in this part of the world.
This is an incredibly strong Al-Hilal squad with both local and international stars, and the 1.57 on them covering a -2 handicap feels like a very solid punt.
The last of the matches on Friday sees Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr side on show when they made the trip to Al-Shabab for a battle between two sides who begin the weekend in the top four in the table.
Al-Nassr are unbeaten so far this season with four wins and a couple of draws to their name but they are scoring freely, as you would expect with the likes of Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Anderson Talisca in their ranks.
To be fair to Al-Shabab, they have four wins from their opening six matches this term but have lost the other two. They are not finding goals as easy to come by, choosing to go down the route of being hard to beat rather than free-flowing.
They have only scored five goals in their six matches and only scored multiple goals on one occasion. You would imagine if they are to get anything from this game they’ll need at least two goals. This isn’t just an offensive Al-Nassr side though. The likes of Marcelo Brozovic, Aymeric Laporte and Mohamed Simakan make them hard to beat and 1.53 on an away win appeals for the treble here.
