Fulham’s games have been full of goals in recent weeks, making both teams to score an appealing selection at Selhurst Park on Saturday. While Doucoure featured just 11 times for Crystal Palace in the Premier League last season due to injury, he was averaging 0.98 fouls per game. He will likely come up against Fulham’s Emile Smith Rowe this weekend, who was fouled twice against Brentford on Monday night.

Another player that is bound to be in the thick of the midfield battle this weekend is Fulham’s Andreas Pereira. Thus, the Brazilian looks worth backing to earn his side at least one foul. Pereira has been fouled once or more in 7 of his 10 Premier League outings for Fulham this season, including Monday night’s 2-1 win over Brentford.

Consequently, Pereira has now drawn a combined total of 11 fouls for Fulham in the top-flight this term, an average of 1.1 per game. As such, there is plenty of scope for the 28-year-old to be on the receiving end of a foul when Fulham make the short trip across the capital this weekend.

Pereira is expected to come up against Cheick Doucoure and Daichi Kamada, both committed a foul during Crystal Palace’s 2-2 draw with Wolves last weekend.

Look to Jean-Philippe Mateta to register a shot on target during Saturday’s capital clash. All three of the Crystal Palace forward’s Premier League goals this season have been scored at Selhurst Park, one of which was the winner against Tottenham two weeks ago. Furthermore, Mateta has worked the opposition goalkeeper in each of the Eagles’ two league games with Nottingham Forest and Wolves either side of their victory over Spurs.

The French striker averaged 1.06 shots on target per game in the Premier League last season, and he is likely to be Palace’s biggest goal threat on Saturday as both Eberechi Eze and Eddie Nketiah look set to miss out due to injury. Mateta could certainly make his mark against a Fulham side that have failed to keep a clean sheet in 9 of their 10 Premier League games this season so far.

Given how goal-heavy Fulham games have been in recent weeks, there appears to be value in backing over 2.5 goals at Selhurst Park on Saturday. Fulham staged a dramatic late comeback to defeat Brentford 2-1 on Monday night, meaning three of their last four league games have featured three or more goals. In fact, in two of Fulham’s three games prior to that, there were four and five match goals respectively.

While Crystal Palace games have not been awash with goals this season, three of their last six matches across all competitions have broken the over 2.5 goal barrier. Given that neither of these two teams can be trusted to keep their own sheets clean, a minimum of three match goals is certainly within the realms of possibility at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Trevoh Chalobah looks overpriced to commit a minimum of one foul on Saturday afternoon. The Crystal Palace defender has regularly found himself on the referee’s radar since joining the club on loan from Chelsea earlier this year.

The 25-year-old has committed a combined total of four fouls across his opening four Premier League appearances for the Eagles, including in each of his two top-flight outings at Selhurst Park. Chalobah also gave away a free kick during Palace’s recent 2-1 win away at Aston Villa in the EFL Cup. He is likely to cross paths with Fulham’s Reiss Nelson, who has been fouled five times across his previous three Premier League appearances.

Given that Ismaila Sarr is renowned for drawing fouls from the opposition, it makes plenty of sense to side with him to earn his side at least one foul on Saturday afternoon. The Crystal Palace speed merchant has drawn a combined total of 8 fouls across his 10 Premier League appearances this season. However, it is worth noting that Saar was a substitute in 7 of those 10 outings. He has started three of the Eagles’ last four league games though, earning his side a set piece 4 times along the way.

Furthermore, Saar was drawing a whopping 2.61 fouls per 90 in Ligue 1 last season for Marseille. In direct opposition to Sarr is likely to be Antonee Robinson, who has averaged 0.80 fouls per game in the Premier League this season.

Tyrick Mitchell is given plenty of licence to get forward by Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, making him an attractive option to attempt a minimum one shot during this match.

He has also had a pop at goal in one of his three appearances for Palace in the EFL Cup this season. Given that Fulham are a team that tend to play on the front foot, Mitchell should get ample opportunity to get forward, and to pull the trigger at least once.
