Stephen Bunting and Josh Rock go head-to-head for a place in the the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts when the duo do battle on Tuesday night. Having both won one and lost one of their opening two Group H encounters over the weekend, the scenario is straightforward for the pair ahead of this high-stakes shootout.
Based on his Jekyll and Hyde performances over the course of his two group games so far, Bunting is difficult to trust as the 1.83 favourite, with over 7.5 match legs the more attractive option at 1.67
It’s difficult to envisage anything other than a cagey contest considering the magnitude of the match for both players. Bunting’s opening group game with Wessel Nijman on Saturday afternoon went all the way to a final leg decider, with ‘the Bullet’ holding his nerve to triumph 5-4. As for Rock, his clash with the aforementioned Nijman on Sunday also featured eight legs, with the Northern Irishman coming out on top 5-3.
