This has all the making of a classic, two young players really taking the darts world by storm at the moment. Littler has of course hogged all the headlines this year but De Decker is riding the crest of a wave and really backing up his impressive World Grand Prix success.
These two have played each other once this year, it was in October on the floor but it was a match that contained ten 180’s in just nine legs of darts as ‘The Nuke’ ran out a 6-3 winner. For the record it was five apiece on the maximum count.
Both players really like to fill the red bit and that is the angle to take here and over 11.5 is achievable combined but take Littler to hit over 6.5 in the match.
He’s been filling up the lipstick better of the two this week so far and has hit ten already in just nineteen legs of darts. When he finds his range he can really rack them up sensationally.
This game should be no nonsense as both players just like to get on with it, something which De Decker pointed out in his post-match interview after he mauled Michael Smith 5-0 in his final group game.
