Mickey Mansell v Martin Lukeman Expert Tips & Predictions
The recent trend of surprise finalists in the PDC is set to continue as Mickey Mansell and Martin Lukeman clash in this Semi-Final for a spot in the Grand Slam of Darts final.
Both players came through the qualifiers to reach this event initially and both have come through tough groups and draws to reach this stage. Mansell came through a group that featured James Wade and Luke Humphries whilst Lukeman’s group contained Rob Cross and Peter Wright.
You couldn’t be in better hands for the competition with our Grand Slam of Darts Accumulator Tips, as well as this match preview and coverage of the second semi-final – as well as Sunday evening’s final of course.
Our darts experts enjoyed an excellent 2024 PDC World Darts Championship, yielding over 20 units worth of profit. Mickey Mansell v Martin Lukeman Best Bet
🎯 Martin Lukeman Over 5.5 180’s
📈 Odds: 2.10
It’s a difficult call to predict the match winner. Mansell has the better head to head record, leading 4-1 in previous meetings and continues to cause upset after upset. Lukeman on the other hand is exuding confidence and belief; the standard he produced in qualifying was majestic and from the get-go, he’s adamant he’s going to be champion come trophy collection day.
The best bet however appears not to be in the outright markets but for Lukeman to notch up six or more 180’s in this match. Once again, it’s a first to sixteen legs race and therefore we have the potential to see thirty-one legs played and you can’t imagine this will be a landslide victory for either player.
‘Smash’, the moniker which Martin Lukeman goes by will be aiming to do just that on the maximum front. Whilst he’s never been the biggest at filling up the red bit, in the two longer format matches he’s played in the knockouts this week, he’s eclipsed the over 5.5 maximums in both games and in the seven games he played in qualifying and the groups – which were all just a race to five legs – he managed to summon up three 180’s on four occasions, which is a much vaster rate per leg than would be required here.
His recent form suggests he’s better than the long-standing stats show in this aspect of his game, especially as the practice in his newly formed ‘darts room’ looks like it’s starting to pay dividends. It looks a real opportunity to land a single bet winner at odds against in a match that is not easy to identify a standout bet.
