Crystal Palace v Newcastle
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 30th November at 15:00
🏆
Competition: Premier League
Crystal Palace play host to Eddie Howe’s Magpies at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon. With the Eagles desperate to escape the relegation zone, we can expect a fiercely contested match-up for this 3pm kick-off.
⭐ Crystal Palace v Newcastle Best Bets
Crystal Palace have only won one Premier League game all season and have struggled to replicate their brilliant form from the back end of the previous campaign. They are very opposable right now because of their lack of wins. Taking Newcastle with full draw no bet security looks a great value bet here. The visitors are the better team on paper and will be hungry to prove their doubters wrong after losing 2-0 at home to West Ham on Monday night. At the very least Newcastle can obtain a point but if they play like they did at Forest recently (3-1) then they have a great chance of a win.
👕 Crystal Palace v Newcastle Predicted XI
🔍 Crystal Palace v Newcastle Players to Watch
🔵 Will Hughes
Hughes is the main enforcer in this Crystal Palace side and averages 1.70 fouls per 90 minutes. He won’t shy away from getting stuck in if required. The biggest problem that Hughes has here though is an individual matchup from hell. He faces Bruno Guimaraes who is by far the most fouled player in the Premier League at 3.80 times per 90. It’s very hard to see how Hughes plays a clean game considering his position on the field and overall matchup. Backing him just to commit two or more fouls looks a great option but he could go over this mark and also pick up a card.
🔵 Daniel Munoz
Daniel Munoz averages 1.70 fouls per 90 minutes for Palace this season in addition to picking up four cards. This is another situation where a Palace player has a matchup nightmare. Anthony Gordon is up against him and he is fouled 2.50 times per 90. Harvey Barnes could then come off the bench to terrorise, so Munoz is in for a long afternoon. It’s likely he commits multiple fouls in this match and he could also be looked at to receive a card.
🔵 Eberechi Eze
Eze is one of the biggest shooters of the ball in the Premier League this season averaging over four attempts per 90. The shots angle is always a good one to go down with Eze but he can also be looked at to land multiple shots on target. At an odds-against price of 2.10 the England international will certainly get chances to test Nick Pope in goal. 12 of Eze’s 37 shots have been on target this season. He’s had at least one shot on target in all of his last five matches, including two against Forest and Liverpool. Everything Palace do offensively revolves around Eze so he could be the value option here.

💻 Crystal Palace v Newcastle Form and Tactics
Crystal Palace have not had a good season so far. They are inside the relegation zone and have only won one match all campaign. The Eagles have lost 3 of their 6 home games and kept only two clean sheets all season. Palace are also one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league netting just 10 times from 12 games.
Newcastle surprisingly lost 2-0 at home to West Ham on Monday night. Prior to that, they had won three straight games in all competitions including victories v Chelsea and Arsenal. The Magpies are known for being inconsistent on their travels but have shown some encouraging signs this season with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Their performance at Forest recently was very encouraging – winning 3-1.
