Level 1 Bet Builder Tip
🎯 Finn Azaz to have 1+ Shots on Target
📈 Odds: 1.83
Attacking midfielder Azaz should be in confident mood ahead of this one, having scored 6 goals in his last 7 starts for Middlesbrough.
We fancy Boro to cause Burnley plenty of problems, despite their impressive defensive record, and Azaz is the most likely to do it in our eyes. He averages 1.4 shots on target per 90.
Azaz has had a shot on target in Boro’s last 5 away games.
🛑 Lucas Pires to Commit 1+ Fouls
📈 Odds: 1.33
Lucas Pires will have a tough task on Friday night, up against one of the division’s trickiest wide men in Ben Doak.
Pires commits 1.4 fouls per 90 on average, including 8 fouls in his 4 starts. Doak wins 1.6 fouls per 90, and therefore it seems likely that Pires will be forced to take illegal action at some point.
🛑 Jaidon Anthony to Commit 1+ Fouls
📈 Odds: 1.36
Jaidon Anthony is a trusted lieutenant of Scott Parker, having been a key member of his Bournemouth side which won promotion to the Premier League in 2021/22.
The winger is in the side for what he can produce in and around the opposition box, but we like him for a foul here. He has committed 1 or more in Burnley’s last five home games, and 1 or more in 4 of his last 5 starts. He averages 1 per 90 over the course of the Championship season so far.
🛑 Neto Borges to Commit 1+ Fouls
📈 Odds: 1.22
Jaidon Anthony’s direct opponent is likely to be Boro’s left back Neto Borges, another Brazilian left back.
In Borges’ last 4 start, he has committed 7 fouls, with at least 1 in each game. In Boro’s last 5 away games, of which he has started all of them, he has committed 9 fouls, including at last 1 in 4 of the 5. He averages 1.6 fouls per 90.

Level 2 Bet Builder Tip
🏆 Middlesbrough to Win
📈 Odds: 3.0
Boro are the outsiders for this one, but we fancy them to cause an upset.
Burnley currently sit in 2nd place in the Championship, with Boro 6 points behind in 5th place. The xG table suggests there placing should be reversed, with Michael Carrick’s men 7 points ahead of the Clarets.
The home side are massively overperforming their defensive numbers, with the xG table suggesting they have conceded almost 8 goals fewer than they should have done. That will have to change at some point, and we think this could be the game where it does, against the best attacking side in the league according to xG for.
🥅 Over 1.5 Goals
📈 Odds: 1.29
If this bet builder is to land in its entirety, we will need Boro to score at least once, which they have managed in 13 of their 18 Championship games so far.
They are in fantastic goalscoring form, with 18 goals across their last 5 games. We fancy them to cause Burnley plenty of problems, and of course Burnley may well do the same to Boro, who have not kept a clean sheet in their last 5.
⚽ Finn Azaz to Score or Assist
📈 Odds: 3.30
Azaz is one of the most in form players in the Championship at the moment.
In November, the attacking midfielder scored 5 goals and assisted 4 in 4 starts. He averages a goal or assist at a rate of 0.87 per 90.
Despite that, he is priced at 3.30 here to score or assist, which rates his chances of doing so at around 33%, which seems like plenty of value to us.
🟨 Lucas Pires to be Shown a Card
📈 Odds: 4.33
The Burnley left back has picked up 3 yellow cards this season from 15 appearances.
He will be up against a rising star in Ben Doak, who has drawn 6 yellow cards from opposition players in 13 appearances in the Championship. His pace causes plenty of problems, and given Pires’ recent record of fouls, 8 in his last 4 starts, he has to have a chance of picking up a card here.
