Jong FC Utrecht v FC Eindhoven
🏟
Monday 7th November – 7:00PM KO
Jong FC Utrecht are rubbish this season and even when they got a bit of help from the first team, they haven’t been able to get any results really, so the expectations are low for this game against FC Eindhoven who are close to the top of the league. They will also be without Mees Rijks, who is suspended for this game. The striker was sent off against Roda JC, just after scoring his first goal of this season.
FC Eindhoven are playing for promotion, just like last season. But they conceded a bit of a blow in the past weeks with defeats against ADO Den Haag en league leaders Heracles Almelo. The draw against city rivals Jong PSV was a bit unlucky, especially as Jong PSV had several fringe players from the first team in their side, so Eindhoven haven’t dropped their level that much as it may look. Nevertheless, confidence is not at it’s highest at this stage of the season, but that’s why a match against Jong Utrecht might come in handy, as the opponents are easily the worst side in the league this season.
Striker Charles-Andreas Brym, who returned to Eindhoven on loan from Sparta Rotterdam is in decent form with four goals from the last four games. The Canadian has a good chance to make the cut for the national team that goes to Qatar, so he’ll be eager to show himself against Jong Utrecht. I don’t expect much from Utrecht, so Eindhoven should be able to collect the three points here.

Jong PSV v Almere City
🏟
Monday 7th November – 7:00PM KO
Almere City are in good form. They even beat league leaders Heracles Almelo last week, but away at Jong PSV they’ll face a tough one. That is because at PSV several of the first team strikers have returned from injury, which means that youngsters like Johan Bakayoko, Richard Ledezma and Savio, who got a fair bit of game time with the first team earlier in the season, see their chances on game time slowly disappear and return to Jong. Especially Bakayoko was banging them in for fun last season for Jong PSV and he also immediately found the goal last week, so that should be a decent upgrade for this side. On top of that, striker Fode Fofana is back from a long term injury and he is one of the players who already featured with the first team last season.
It is mostly in attack that Jong PSV are a lot stronger and that is interesting for a match against Almere City, because the away side also have no trouble scoring lately. When they first started winning games, it was because they cleaned up the defence, but with time it became the attack that massively improved, so now they are creating much more chances than earlier in the season. The massive hike in attacking quality for Jong PSV and a confident Almere City side that are creating a decent amount of chances should be the perfect ingredients for plenty of goals i this game.
