Koln v Bochum
Bundesliga
⏰
Kick Off: 19:30
⚽
Prediction: Koln (-1 Handicap)
📈
Original Odds: 2.75
Koln may not be at their best this season but should be able to avoid getting drawn into the relegation scrap. They will view this as an important fixture. A win would take them up to 30 points and it would also likely open up a gap of 10 points between them and the drop with 10 games to go.
Despite their poor overall form in the league, Koln have lost just three of their 11 home games this season. All three of the sides who beat them are currently in the top half of the Bundesliga.
Bochum have struggled massively away from home this season. They have won one of their 12 away games in the Bundesliga this season. Also, they have only found the net in five of those matches. They are averaging 0.58 goals per game away in the Bundesliga; 2.34 less goals per game than their opponents. This makes the handicap an appealing prospect here.
Thomas Letsch’s side are also rock bottom of the league. The former Vitesse coach has been unable to turn things around for Bochum since joining the club in September. They are one of four teams who are on 19 points but their vastly inferior goal difference leaves them with a mountain to climb.
Bochum have lost their last five matches where they have been similarly priced to win. Four of them have been lost by the required margin for this bet to land. In these matches they are averaging three goals fewer than their opponents.

Lille v Lyon
Ligue 1
⏰
Kick Off: 20:00
⚽
Prediction: Lille to Win
📈
Original Odds: 1.91
Lille are unbeaten at home since the end of August in all competitions. Paulo Fonseca had a tough start to life at the club but they have improved as the season has gone on and they are now battling for a place in next season’s Champions League. Lille are currently six points behind 3rd place, Monaco.
Lille have won seven and drawn three of their last 10 matches at Decathlon Arena. During that run they are scoring an average of two goals per game and conceding just 0.7.
Lyon are 10th in Ligue 1, six points adrift of Friday night’s opponents. They started the season under Peter Bosz but he was replaced by Laurent Blanc in October. The former PSG manager has done well to turn things around but Lille should prove to be a very tough test.
Lyon failed to win any of their first five away matches in the league this season. Their fortunes have since improved but they still only have five wins across their 13 Ligue 1 matches on the road. The side that were formerly the dominant force in French football also failed to find the net in their last league game against Lorient. They were wasteful in front of goal and will need to be clinical to get anything out of this one.
Lille have conceded just two goals in front of their own fans in 2023. While this game should be fiercely competitive, La Machine de Guerre are a solid price given their home form.

Porto v Estoril
Portuguese Primeira Liga
⏰
Kick Off: 20:15
⚽
Prediction: Porto (-1 Handicap)
📈
Original Odds: 1.67
Our final bet looks to be another one-sided affair. Porto haven’t lived up to the lofty standards they set last season. They face an uphill battle if they want to retain their domestic crown this season. They are eight points behind Benfica but they won’t have given up on the race just yet.
Porto have won nine of their 11 home games this season. Eight of those wins have been by a margin of two goals or more. They suffered their second defeat in their last home match and they will be looking to bounce back here. Sergio Conceicao’s men are averaging 2.27 more goals per game than their opponents when they have the backing of the home support this season.
Estoril are one place outside of the relegation zone. Despite the six-point gap, they risk being dragged into the mix if their poor form continues. They haven’t won any of their last six away matches and they have failed to score in five of those matches.
The minnows haven’t scored in any of their last five visits to the Estadio do Dragao. Porto are averaging 2.8 goals per game in those head-to-heads and have won them all.
