Premier League Darts Night 1 180 Accumulator Tips & Predictions
🎯 Stephen Bunting Most 180s v Rob Cross
📈 Odds: 1.73
Stephen Bunting looks worth getting behind to hit the most 180s in his Premier League clash with Rob Cross on Thursday night. ‘The Bullet’ has been 1 of the standout performers on the PDC circuit over the last year or so and that has coincided with him hitting 180s for fun. In fact, Bunting crashed in a whopping 536 maximums across the most recent calendar year. To put that into context, only Michael Smith, Luke Humphries, Wessel Nijman and Luke Littler hit more 180s than Bunting across 2024.
Cross, on the other hand, is not as renowned for being a heavy 180 hitter, evidenced by the fact that he tallied 371 last year. Furthermore, during last year’s Premier League, ‘Voltage’ hit a combined total of 55 maximums across the 16 weeks of league phase action, with only rock-bottom Peter Wright delivering fewer (43). With all that in mind, Bunting merits support to come out on top in the 180 battle during this contest.
🎯 Michael van Gerwen Over 2.5 180s v Luke Littler
📈 Odds: 1.73
Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen will renew hostilities in the Premier League on Thursday night. While ‘The Nuke’ is the overwhelming favourite to take top honours in this tussle, he is unlikely to have things all his own way against ‘The Green Machine’. In a game that could very well go the distance, van Gerwen is more than capable of racking up 3 or more 180s.
The Dutchman remains 1 of the most lethal 180-hitters on the planet, racking up a combined total of 464 across 2024. It’s also worth noting that only Littler (76) hit more maximums than MVG (56) at the 2025 World Darts Championship. Perhaps surprisingly, van Gerwen managed to hit more 180s than Littler in last month’s Ally Pally final, not to mention he also hit 3 maximums in their subsequent meeting at the Dutch Darts Masters.
During last year’s Premier League, van Gerwen and Littler locked horns on 7 occasions, with the Dutchman delivering 3 or more 180s in 5 of those showdowns. That would suggest the Dutch destroyer has been undervalued in the 180 market here, making him an attractive option to cover the over 2.5 maximums line.
🎯 Nathan Aspinall Over 2.5 180s v Luke Humphries
📈 Odds: 1.67
A minimum of 3 180s looks well within range for Nathan Aspinall when he goes head-to-head with Luke Humphries on Thursday night. In a year that was disrupted with injury, ‘The Asp’ still managed to rack up a very respectable maximum count of 309 across 2024.
The Stockport star’s knack for filling up the treble 20 bed was also on show when he came up against Humphries at the Bahrain Darts Masters last month, hitting a mightily impressive 6 maximums in what was just a race to 6 legs. It’s also worth noting that the 2 players crossed paths at the US Darts Masters last year over the same format, with Aspinall winning the 180 battle 4-2 on that occasion.
On top of all that, Aspinall unfurled 3 or more 180s in 4 of his 6 meetings with Humphries during last year’s Premier League, and that only adds to the appeal of backing the plucky underdog to produce at least 3 maximums on Thursday night.
